8/13/1998: Taylor R., Upper Taylor; Lottis Creek to South Bank access

With: Chris Kelly, Nannette Laughrey
I was due to meet Chris Kelly and his wife Nanette Laughrey in the early afternoon at the Lottis Creek Campground beside the Taylor River in the Gunnson National Forest. Since I was only an hour from there I had time to track down a laundramat and then to buy a shower from a down-at-heels commercial campground before taking CO-135 upstream along the Gunnison River to Almont, then Taylor River Road upstream to the campground.

Chris and I put on at the top, above the (some say) Class IV Lottis Creek Rapid, and Nanette joined us farther downstream. We camped, of course, at Lottis Creek CG.
