7/19/2006: Clark Fork, Alberton Gorge (Cyr Bridge to Tarkio)

With: Jon Hitchings, Karen Egbert, Gisela Padmali, Bernie Culpepper
We went into Missoula to check out three more kayak stores for Gisela's sprayskirt. Bernie bought more souvenirs.

We paddled the Alberton Gorge section of the Clark Fork of the Columbia River, from Tarkio to Cyr at a volume of 3540 cfs on the St. Regis gauge.

We ate dinner at a terrific place called the Bridge Pizzeria in Missoula, where my paddling buddy Chris Kelly, from Missouri, happened to drive by and see my van parked outside and dropped in to say "hello". We drove fairly late into the night on I-90 to the Warm Springs camapground in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge NF, about eight miles west of Anaconda on MT-1.
