7/26/2006: Gros Ventre, Landslide section: Slide Lake to Gros Ventre Rd

With: Gisela Padmali, Bernie Culpepper, Dorothy Vezzetti, Jim Barton, John Olden
Bernie, Gisela, and I took John Olden (from Texas) and Dorothy Vezzetti (from Georgia) to the Landslide Section of the Gros Ventre River.

Bernie and Gisela ran it a second time while I battened down the van for the long ride home. Judging from the 300 cfs we had two weeks earlier, the level this time was around 100 cfs.

Boating was over; we took the airbags out of our boats and set off on the long road home. We left by way of US-89 north to Moran Junction, then US-26 east over the Togwotee Pass and through Dubois again, to Shoshoni, where we picked up US-20 north to a campsite on BLM land about ten miles north of Thermopolis.
