5/22/2010: Nolichucky R., Poplar, NC to the Nolichucky CG

| We were all back on the water for this last day of paddling. I hired a shuttle driver at the little kayak store next to the hostel on River Road so we would have all our vehicles waiting at the Chestoa day-use-area take-out. Again, it was a lovely day on a beautiful river with no mishap. Dan and his wife Lois (who had done us yeoman's service as a shuttle driver all week) took off to visit friends in Brevard, Dave and I headed home (by way of the wonderful "Asiana Grand Buffet" in Asheville), and the others stayed a third night in Rock Creek CG. Mikel and Marilyn, Kim and Jenny, and Chris drove home on Sunday |
