7/25/2016: Gros Ventre, Lower Slide Lake

	Evan's first day in a kayak! The whole group set out for the Hoback River and dropped takeout vehicles at Hoback Junction, but as we started upriver the smoke coming up US-191 was so severe that we redirected to the Grey's River, farther south near Alpine Junction. Within minutes of putting on, it became clear that the Grey's was too swift for a first-time kayaker, so Evan and I took off and drove to the Slide Lake of the Gros Ventre River. Here Evan was able to get the knack of making his boat go straight on still water, and got a sense of how he could lean the boat without compromising stability.
