7/28/2016: Snake R., West Table access to Sheep Gulch access

Our numbers considerably reduced by the loss of the Texans and by Bill's and Gary & Ginny's decisions not to boat, nine of us put on the Alpine Canyon in eight boats.

About 1/3 of the way along the wind came up badly and Bob decided to take off; too bad, because he had successfully negotiated the toughest rapid on the run (Haircut), and the wind let up soon afterward.

The two notorious rapids, Lunch Counter and Big Kahuna had clean easy lines at this low level. Evan took one eddy-line swim, but we all had great runs of the three big rapids.
