3/2/2017: Santa Fe R., Ichetucknee SP S entrance to US-129

| This time we launched at the south entrance, yesterday's takeout, and paddled the last 2.5 miles of the Ichetucknee River and 5 miles of the big, wide Santa Fe River. I won't do this again; almost the entire route was lined with vacation homes, except for a mile or two of tree farm on the south bank of the Santa Fe. That evening we went to a wonderful restaurant named Great Outdoors, at the corner of NE 1st Ave (US-27) and N Main St (US-41) in nearby High Springs, where I had a fried catfish dinner. |
